Venice Beach was an ant farm. It was packed with beach goers, skateboarders, oily bodybuilders, sunbathers and kids with annoying high pitched voices demanding an ice cream from deadbeat looking parents.

We parked the car, and walked to the beach in normal clothes.

“We’ll change at the beach,” Diana informed me.

I had never been to Venice Beach much, but had seen it on TV and on YouTubers’ channels.

It was a prime location to carry out staged and unstaged pranks, which was all the rage when I was growing up, and I often found myself spending hours watching men walk up to hot chicks and picking them up by using corny pick-up lines.

“Let’s find a good spot and set up base.”

“Lead the way,” I said, following Diana onto the beach.

The palm trees lining the beachfront were happily swaying in the wind, which had gone from chilly to pleasantly warm since the morning.

The brightly painted shacks and shops shone brightly in the afternoon sun, along with the tinted sunglasses of people walking the promenade in bikinis and beach shorts.

My eyes lingered on the girls, obviously, with their butts and boobs hanging out of their skimpy beachwear, and I hoped and prayed the bikini Diana had brought for me wasn’t as revealing as the ones I was seeing.

Diana found a spot away from the crowd, and spread towels on the ground. Then, she took out a dark blue string bikini from the duffle bag and threw it at me.

“It’s time, babygirl.”

I caught the bikini and studied it. It was a string bikini alright, with barely enough cloth to hide anything on my body.

“You had to pick out the tiniest bikini, right?”

“Of course! I wanna see what you hide under those baggy clothes.”

“You’d be sorely disappointed.”

“Leave that to me. The changing rooms are right there.”

Diana pointed over her shoulders.

“What about you?”

“I am already wearing mine underneath my clothes. Go now, don’t make me wait to see that bangin body of yours.”
